Brief Detail about Dr Kalam
Avul Parik Jainulabdeen Kalaam was born on 15th.Oct.1931 in Rameswaram Tamil Nadu. his father Jainulabdeen was a boat owner and Imam at local mosque. his mother was a house wife. He was youngest among his siblings. He did his earlier studies in Schwartz Higher Secondary School, Ramanathapuram. He did his graduation in Physics and then studied aerospace engineering. He was scientist and administrator at DRDO and ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization). He was involved in military missile development efforts. so he was known as Missile Man of India. He was the 11th president of India from 2002 to 2007. He received many prestigious awards including Bharat Ratna Award. At the age of 83, he died on 27th July,2015 when he was delivering a lecture at IIM Shillong. his funeral ceremony was held at Rameswaram.
